Broke and down on her luck, Hollywood bartender Suzette (Goldie Hawn) decides to travel to Arizona to visit her old friend Lavinia (Susan Sarandon). Back in the 1970s the pair's exploits as rock groupies were legendary, but while Suzette has continued to live the rock lifestyle, Lavinia has settled down to a comfortable middle-class existence, with a nice home, a husband and two daughters. So when Suzette finally arrives it's sure to create some problems for the newly respectable Lavinia, not least when her former partner-in-crime starts telling stories of their past adventures to her unsuspecting family.

Back in the late 70s and early 80s, Suzette and Vinnie were best friends, they were a couple of groupies that would hang out with any rock star they could their hands on...
