Japanese animated adventure written and directed by Mamoru Hosoda. When nine-year-old orphan Kyuta (voice of Luci Christian/Eric Vale) discovers a mysterious passageway that leads to the land of beasts, he is taken in by Kumatetsu (John Swasey), a legendary warrior looking for a new apprentice. Years later, after a darkness appears in the beast world which leaves Kumatetsu facing a deadly battle to maintain control over his realm, the teenage Kyuta is torn between helping his master win his fight or returning home to Shibuya to resume his old life.
