Jennifer Lopez stars in this dazzling thriller as a psychologist who must journey into the mind of a comatose serial killer to save the life of his latest victim.
Panned by critics in the uk and us, but a box office number 1 none-the-less, this Tarsem Singh physoclogical thriller starring the unfortunate Jennifer Lopez, is, despite its loose story and poor casting, still a real treat for the eyes- there is a beautifully rich colour palette used by Singh and the cinematography is lovely at times-if not a little jarring. Added to that a discordant and complex score by Howard Shore (of Lord Of the rings fame), the cell, though not perfect, is a great example of how, with the right tools, amazing imagery can be created and genuinely intriguing thoughts can arise in one's head.
