Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play.  Filming of a live performance by the Liaoning Ballet Troupe of a Chinese ballet telling the tragic story of two star-crossed lovers, A-Bing and Yue Er, who are forced apart when a local landlord takes Yue Er as his concubine. Desperate, Yue Er throws herself into the lake, leaving A-Bing so heartbroken that he becomes blind.
