In exactly two hours convicted felon Raymond Graham's (Jeffrey Fahey) life is scheduled to come to an end. Although his execution may seem to be warranted by the crime he committed the lives and future of many individuals will be touched by his execution. These include Graham's lawyers who are frantically trying to prepare a last minute reprieve as well as the opponents and proponents of the death penalty who are picketing outside the prison walls. Even within the prison compound the warden (Morgan Freeman) and other key personnel are forced to face their inner most... feelings about participating in the state's first execution.
