Mr Church (Bruce Willis) has another assignment for his elite team of mercenary heros in this 2012 all action movie; the sequel to The Expendables (from 2010). He recruits them once again and sets them on an outwardly simple but imperatively crucial task which, predictably, goes wrong and results in one of their own being brutally killed.
Unable to accept this atrocious outcome, they feel duty bound to seek revenge in the most hostile and dangerous environment where their chances of survival are very slim. They adopt their trademark approach, wreaking havoc,... causing mayhem and leaving a trail of destruction as they fight their way through swathes of enemy forces.
Will they succeed in their vital mission? Will they halt the threat of World domination that might result from a large amount of weapons-grade plutonium falling into the wrong hands?
The Expendables 2 also stars Sylvester Stallone (Barney Ross), Jason Statham (Lee Christmas), Jet Li (Yin Yang), Dolph Lundgren (Gunnar Jensen), John-Claude Van Damme (Vilain), Arnold Schwartzenegger (Trench) and Nan Yu (Maggie) among the star studded cast.
THE EXPENDABLES ARE BACK AND THIS TIME IT'S WAR! The team sign on for a mission that looks like an easy pay check. But things go wrong for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries when one of their own is killed by a psychotic terrorist-for-hire. [show more]
