The new film from the director of Maria Full Of Grace is a story of family feuds and the honour of a bloodline. Joshua Marston directs this drama set in modern-day Albania. Teenager Rudina (Sindi Lacej) is forced to quit school and take over her father's bread delivery service after a family disagreement with a neighbour escalates into a blood feud. Rudina's father has been using his neighbour's land as a short cut for years, but the neighbour is less than happy about this and ends up blocking the pathway to stop him trespassing on his land. After a time the conflict escalates and the neighbour ends up being killed by Rudina's father and uncle. Under the old Albanian law of blood feud, the men of the family can no longer leave their house, leaving Rudina with no choice but to become the family breadwinner.
