The new film from the director of Maria Full Of Grace is a story of family feuds and the honour of a bloodline. Nik is a normal 17-year-old in the last year of high school ready to embark on his first romance and the opening of his own caf after graduation. But then a local land dispute results in his father being accused of murder, Nik and the male members of his family are forced under house arrest. Nic's sister Rudina has to leave school to take over the family business and whilst she flourishes with her new found responsibility, Nik's resentment at his enforced... isolation causes him to try and end the feud even though it may cost him his life. Joshua Marston directs this drama set in modern-day Albania. Teenager Rudina (Sindi Lacej) is forced to quit school and take over her father's bread delivery service after a family disagreement with a neighbour escalates into a blood feud. Rudina's father has been using his neighbour's land as a short cut for years, but the neighbour is less than happy about this and ends up blocking the pathway to stop him trespassing on his land. After a time the conflict escalates and the neighbour ends up being killed by Rudina's father and uncle. Under the old Albanian law of blood feud, the men of the family can no longer leave their house, leaving Rudina with no choice but to become the family breadwinner.
