John Lee Hancock directs this biopic which stars Michael Keaton as Ray Kroc, the American businessman and founder of multinational fast food company McDonald's. The film follows Kroc as he transitions from unsuccessful food mixer salesman to ruthless businessman after a meeting with Mac and Dick McDonald (John Carroll Lynch and Nick Offerman), the humble owners of a new hamburger restaurant in California. Recognising the potential for a nationwide franchise of revolutionary fast food outlets, Kroc desperately tries to convince the brothers to branch out. However, when the McDonalds prove reluctant to expand their business, Kroc fashions a number of subtle deals in an attempt to gain outright control of the company and realise his ambitions of owning a highly profitable nationwide business. The cast also includes Laura Dern, Linda Cardellini and Patrick Wilson.
