Sports drama starring Gerard Butler. The film tells the true story of the hastily-assembled 1950 USA football team and their unexpected 1-0 defeat of the England squad in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Comprised of two groups of non-professional players, the guys from the working class 'Hill' district of St Louis led by goalkeeper Frank Borghi (Butler) and the 'East Coasters' led by Walter Bahr (Wes Bentley), the underdog US team amazed the world by coming from nowhere to defeat England, the 'grand old lady of football'.
