Tribal psychobilly blues is the best way to describe Gun Club's sound. Formed in Los Angeles in the early '80s their debut Fire of Love had intense energy fueled by frontman Jeffrey Lee Pierce's delivery. For ""Las Vegas Story"" Pierce won over guitarist Kid Congo Powers (The Cramps) and Patricia Morrison (the Bags) on bass. Pierce launched his solo career in 1985 but in 1987 came back with a realigned Club and the album Mother Juno earned them a wider following. In 1996 Pierce passed away from a brain hemorrhage. Fire Of Live features footage from two performances... by The Gun Club. The first was recorded at the legendary Hacienda club in Manchester England during the early 80s. The second is a rare live TV appearance shot in Madrid in 1985 and includes an interview with the band. Tracklist: Hacienda 1983 1. Lost Highway 2. Moonlight Hotel 3. Bad Indian 4.
