A romantic comedy and satire starring Marisa Tomei, Jimi Mistry and Heather Graham. Raimu Chandra Gupta (Mistry) arrives in New York from India with dreams. Having been brought up on a diet of Bollywood and Hollywood, Gupta's ambition is to become a big star as a dancer but finds things tough in the Big Apple. His first job is as a waiter in an Indian restaurant but his break comes when a party entertainer falls ill and Gupta fills in. There he meets a high society student (Tomei) who rests on every word he says and introduces him to the high society of New York. However, Gupta's lack of wisdom could be exposed at any point. The soundtrack includes Samantha Mumba, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Ms Dynamite and the Sugarbabes.
