French author Michel Houellebecq plays himself in this comedy drama partly based on his real-life disappearance in 2011. While on a book tour the reclusive writer vanishes without a trace, sparking various rumours as to his whereabouts. Kidnapped by three brothers, Luc (Luc Schwarz), Maxime (Maxime Lefrançois) and Mathieu (Mathieu Nicourt), Michel is held for ransom inside their family home in the country where a number of comic encounters play out between the hostage and his captors.
