Minka is a good lad, dedicated to keeping his meth-addicted mother off drugs and keeping his head down through life. He soon finds himself drawn into the dangerous world of meth-dealing, where business is conducted at the end of a gun.

Rene Naufahu writes and directs this low-budget New Zealand crime drama. The film follows Polynesian, Auckland teenager Minka (Beulah Koale) as he tries to raise enough cash to get his meth-addicted mother Lia (Joy Vaele) clean. To do so, he turns to his drug-dealing father Joe (Calvin Tuteao) who runs a strip club in the city. His estranged father uses his underworld connections to get Minka work with the unhinged drug dealer and user Pinball (Joseph Naufahu). Taken under his father's wing, Minka gets acquainted with his country's violent criminal underbelly and learns the seedier side of the family business.
