The Last Templar Boxset DVD

| DVD

The Last Templar is based on the International New York Times bestselling book by Raymond Khoury. It's 1291 AD, following the fall of Acre; a small party of Knights Templar leave the city with a small chest and a terrible secret. Their ship, the Falcon Temple, is damaged in a ferocious storm at sea and sinks. One of the Knights is mortally wounded and dies after hiding a small leather pouch under a gravestone. He charges the remainder of the ship's company to deliver an encoded letter to the Head of the Templar's. The last surviving Knight reaches Paris in 1314, just... in time to see the Grand Master being burned at the stake after refusing to reveal the location of the Templar's' treasure. The last Knight commits himself to maintaining the legend of the Templar's' threat to the Catholic Church. With nonstop action, violence and bloody recreations of the Knight Templar's last stand. Action adventure collection comprising two mini-series and a made-for-TV movie. In 'The Last Templar' (2009), based on the bestselling novel by Raymond Khoury, Mira Sorvino stars as Tess Chaykin, a Manhattan archaeologist who is drawn into a dangerous mission to uncover the lost secrets of the medieval Knights Templar, which - along with FBI detective Sean Daley (Scott Foley) - leads her through the cemeteries and sewers of Manhattan, across continents to desolate Turkish highlands, into a shipwreck on a remote Greek island... and into the very heart of the Vatican's deepest, darkest secret. 'Rome, Blood and Sand' (2005) follows the rise to power of Julius Caesar's nephew, Octavius. When Caesar (Colm Feore) is assassinated, Rome's fate lies in the hands of his chosen heir, young Octavius (Santiago Cabrera). Civil war breaks out and the future of the Empire becomes dependent upon Octavius's defeat of General Mark Antony (Vincent Regan). In 'Lionheart' (2003), set in 1183, after the death of his eldest son, King Henry II (Patrick Stewart) must decide which of his three remaining sons will succeed him. As the time for him to announce his successor approaches, Henry frees his imprisoned wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine (Glenn Close), who he held captive after she plotted to overthrow him. It soon becomes clear, however, that Eleanor favours first child Richard (Andrew Howard), while Henry sees his youngest, John (Rafe Spall), as the next in line but, in the weeks ahead, the King begins to have serious doubts if any of his sons are capable of becoming the new ruler.
