Sammy Davis Jnr was a dancer and singer who worked the Vaudeville circuit in the 1920's. Aged 5 he performed with his father and uncle as 'The Will Mastin Trio'. He made his film debut in the short 'Rufus Jones For President', where he showed off his legendary tap dancing skills. His recording career began in 1954 when he sang the theme to the Universal picture, 'Six Bridges To Cross' and achieved his first hit with 'Hey There', which charted in the US and the UK. He made his Broadway debut in 'Mr.Wonderful' in 1956 and had his first major film role in 'Sportin' Life'... in 1959. Becoming a member of the Rat Pack along with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, along with Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop, they starred in 'Ocean's Eleven' which was a major success in 1960.
