Taken from the book by Alice Sebold, this heart wrenching story told from the grave follows murdered 14-year-old school girl Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan), on her quest to bring about justice and closure.
Directed by Peter Jackson, who bravely deviates the film version away from the book. The Lovely Bones is set in a small town in Pennsylvania, Susie is murdered by a neighbour on her way home from school, what follows is Susie's story, told from heaven, and the devastating impact her disappearance has on her parents, played by Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz,... her family and friends.
"The Lovely Bones" focuses on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family - and her killer - from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal. [show more]
