Tim Robbins, Rachel McAdams and Michael Pena star in this road trip comedy drama following three off-duty soldiers who have returned from the war in Iraq to face various issues and problems in their civilian lives. Fred (Robbins) is a newly-retired sergeant who hopes to win enough at the Las Vegas casinos to pay his son's college fees, Colee (McAdams) is on her way to deliver the guitar of a dead comrade to his family after he saved her life, and TK (Pena) is nervous about his reunion with his fiancee owing to a shrapnel injury that has affected his sexual function. On arrival at New York's JFK Airport, they discover that all flights have been cancelled because of a blackout, and the three spontaneously decide to rent a van together. As they travel from East to West they become close friends and gradually come to terms with the obstacles they face.

Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play. After suffering an injury during a routine patrol, hardened sergeant TK Poole is granted a one-month leave to visit his fiancée. But when an unexpected blackout cancels all flights out of New York, TK agrees to share a ride to Pittsburgh with two similarly stranded servicemen: Cheever, an older family man who longs to return to his wife in St. Louis, and Colee, a naive private who's pinned her hopes on connecting with a dead fellow soldier's family. What begins as a short trip unexpectedly evolves into a longer journey. Forced to grapple with old relationships, broken hopes and a country divided over the war, TK, Cheever and Colee discover that home is not quite what they remembered, and that the unlikely companionship they've found might be what matters the most.
