Jannik Splidsboel directs this documentary following gay and lesbian youths living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Set in the heart of America's conservative Bible Belt, the film follows teenagers Larissa, Benny and D as they deal with coming out in a religious society, rife with homophobia, with the help of the Open Arms Youth Project. As the trio come to terms with their identity and journey towards adulthood, Benny comes out to his family and tries to quell his panic attacks, D tries to overcome the childhood abuse of his mother and Larissa moves in with her girlfriend after being thrown out by her mother.
