Joel Schumacher brings Andrew Lloyd-Webber's long-running stage musical to the big screen.
this dvd is excellent, all but for one thing i have watched four copies of this dvd,and there is a fault on the soundtrack which is being masked by the default to dts soundtrack that everyone is talking about.I have a DTS compatiable player and every copy play fine in DTS mode until chapter 12 there is audio dropout on the song 'STRANGER THAN YOU DREAMT IT'.(44.04)in to the film .The word 'DARE'is not heard, the same fault occurs in 5.1,but is heard in surround sound.I have contacted the andrew lloyd webber really useful group web site, and they agree that there is a fault, and they say it has been corrected for the second run.But i don,t know how to obtain a second run copy. FRUSTRATED P.O.T.O. FAN.
Wow!! What a movie. I have on many occasions seen the London West End Show and thought that it was a must for me to go and see this movie. Well i have to give it a top rating as i don't think they could have got the movie any closer to Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End Show. Gerrard Butler played the Phantom and gave it his all along with all the other members of the cast. This is one i will be purchasing on DVD as soon as possible.
