After Sissi (Franka Potente) is hit by a lorry, and has her life saved by a man called Bodo (Benno Fürmann), she determines to get to know him better. But Bodo is still suffering from the death of his wife and is unwilling to become involved with someone new. Nevertheless, when Bodo becomes involved in a bungled robbery at a bank which Sissi just happens to be visiting, she finally gets her chance to repay his kindness and hides him in the hospital where she works.
