British thriller with elements of the supernatural. Vinnie Jones stars as Mike Sullivan, an ambitious sports reporter working for a tabloid newspaper who is determined to reinvent himself as a serious investigative journalist. Helped by police press officer Kate (Julie Cox) and a river-dwelling tramp with an enigmatic past (Derek Jacobi), Mike throws himself into the investigation of a series of murders that follow the discovery of an unpublished Charles Dickens manuscript in a Thames-side pub. But in order to find the key to the murders, Mike must first unravel another crime: one that is over a century old and hidden in the pages of the long-lost book.
