Trailing just 9½-6½ after the first two days, Europe looked set for a Medinah-style comeback when they led in seven of the twelve singles matches. But unlike their miracle comeback in the 2012 competition, the European team were then upstaged by the sheer quality of putting by Davis Love III's team.
