Triple bill of action thrillers. In 'The Sentinel' (2006), a respected secret service agent, Pete Garrison (Michael Douglas), is framed and blackmailed over an affair with the First Lady, Sarah Ballentine (Kim Basinger). When a plot to assassinate President John Ballentine (David Rasche) is suspected, Garrison finds himself the primary suspect. When accused of treason, Garrison leads the investigating agents on a wild chase and the truth becomes more and more twisted. 'Man On Fire' (2004) stars Denzel Washington as John Creasy, a jaded former CIA agent hired by a wealthy Mexican family to act as bodyguard to their ten-year-old daughter Lupita (Dakota Fanning). Initially reluctant to take on such a lowly position, Creasy becomes increasingly fond of his charge as she asks him questions about his life and he begins to open up to her and discover a tenderness long missing from his own life. But his newfound equilibrium is shattered when the girl is kidnapped, and he vows to find the men responsible and bring them to his own form of rough justice. Finally, in 'The Siege' (1998), FBI/NYPD anti-terrorist officer 'Hub' Hubbard (Denzel Washington) is called in to investigate when a Brooklyn bus is bombed. The perpetrators are demanding the release of Sheik Ahmed Ben Talal, who has been kidnapped by US General William Devereaux (Bruce Willis). Hub focuses his initial search on Brooklyn's Arab community, but is shadowed by CIA operative Elise Kraft (Annette Bening), whose contact in Palestine intimates that the real problem lies elsewhere. Before Hub or Kraft can act, however, the FBI headquarters are also bombed, and Deveraux imposes a state of martial law.
