The Steve Morse Band: Live In Baden-Baden, Germany 1990 DVD

| DVD

The ArtistSteve Morse first rose to fame in the late 1970s as bandleader songwriter and guitarist for the groundbreaking instrumental band Dixie Dregs. In 1983 Steve formed the trio The Steve Morse Band. Part of the trio was Steve Morse (guitar) Dave LaRue (bass) and Van Romaine (drums) who together created a fusion of intoxicating rock and experimental purely instrumental music. In late 1994 Steve Morse joined Deep Purple on guitar. Steve Morse is considered as one of the most accomplished musicians playing a wide variety of genres. He is known for his stylistically... diverse compositional skills and virtuosic abilities and was voted the Best Overall Guitarist by Guitar Player magazine for 5 years in a row qualifying him for their Guitar Player Hall of Fame the only other member being YES guitarist Steve Howe. Combining rock country jazz funk and classical elements reaching an unbelievable sound spectrum the strength of Steve Morse's fascinating guitar riffs leaves no space for lead vocals. Based on his fabulous guitar playing which is light years ahead of many other so called guitar heroes the sound satisfies the listener in every aspect. In addition to a thriving solo career he has been (and continues to be) a member of several renown bands like Deep Purple or Kansas.
