In war torn Chad, Africa, hordes of children are left parentless by the on-going conflict. NGO Group Move The Children' touch down with one objective: to rescue the orphans and bring them back to France for adoption. Joachim Lafosse co-writes and directs this drama based on real events. The film follows members of a French charity organisation as they travel to Chad looking to take advantage of the growing overseas adoption trade. Led by Jacques Arnault (Vincent Lindon), the charity workers aim to trick village chiefs in Chad into giving up local orphaned children in exchange for money, with a plane ready to take them back to France to live with new families. However, with the operation in progress, the presence of journalist Françoise Dubois (Valérie Donzelli) begins to cause tension within the group.
