Classic detective drama based on Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes novel 'The Adventure of the Empty House'. Holmes (Basil Rathbone) and Watson (Nigel Bruce) bring their wits to bear against a killer who is murdering young women and taking their forefingers as a grisly trophy. While the police suspect a deranged psychopath, Holmes suspects the crimes bear the mark of his old nemesis, Professor Moriarty (Henry Daniell).
