Since it began in 1993, the story of two FBI agents assigned to investigate the paranormal and all things strange, has been a global phenomenon. From human mutants to alien abductions, the X-Files has fed the public fascination for the unexplained, and given conspiracy theorists something to finally believe in.Episode 1:'Pilot', in which Agent Scully (Gillian Anderson), is re-assigned to work with maverick agent Fox Mulder David Duchovny) and his paranormal investigations, or X-files. In episode 2, the test-pilot of an aircraft which may have parts made from alien technology goes missing, and Mulder and Scully come up against a bureaucratic brick wall. Episode 3 finds the duo on the trail of a serial killer, who likes to rip out his victims' livers using only his hands. Their concerns increase when it seems that the killer has been operating since the turn of the century. In Episode 4, Scully thinks that Mulder is in danger of losing the plot when a teenager mysteriously disappears from a lakeside campsite.
