Post-war British comedy, adapted from a West End farce, that features various comic actors of the day trying to banish a poltergeist spirit from a stately home. Wilfred Prescott (Alfred Drayton) enlists the help of Spenser (Garry Marsh), an eccentric psychic researcher, to banish an impish spirit from his possessed daughter Audrey (Gwynneth Vaughan), so that she can marry the son of wealthy businessman Vincent Ebury (Robertson Hare). When Joe Harris (Gordon Harker), a shifty Cockney insurance salesman, visits the house, the poltergeist erupts into a frenzy of mischievous activity, leaving a trail of comic destruction in its wake.
