Three American women in Rome fall for the myth that if you throw a coin into the Fountain of Trevi your wishes will be granted. Naturally, they all wish to be swept off their feet by Italian men, and the film chronicles their rocky road to romance. This was the first Cinemascope picture ever made on location, winning its Director of Photography an Oscar.
