This programme concentrates on the West Coast main line from Cheddington to Carlisle. Th distance covered between Buckinghamshire and Cumbria is two hundred and sixty two miles and in the last forty years the line has changed little. This film was shot in 1994 when features from the original railway may still be seen. Future development may change the line.
