Two-Bit Waltz DVD

| DVD

In the wonderfully dysfunctional tradition of The Royal Tenenbaums, teenage years are always messy... but for Maude, things couldn't seem more tragic. Within one week just prior to her 18th birthday, she is suspended from school, stranded by her best friend, dumped by the boy she loves , and Granny just died leaving her an enormous amount of money under one condition: Maude must go to college which she does not want to do and her wildly eccentric family is no help at all. Of course... It's a comedy!

Clara Mamet writes, directs and stars in this American comedy drama. Chain-smoking teenager Maude (Mamet)'s life is in a state of disarray as she approaches her 18th birthday; she's been suspended from school, dumped by her boyfriend and her grandmother's just died, leaving her a small fortune as her inheritance. But to get the money Maude has to go to college which is something she's strongly opposed to doing, preferring to work on her novel. Her dysfunctional family don't provide much support so she turns to her therapist (John Pirruccello) and best friend Jenny (Ella Dershowitz) for guidance but even they can't seem to help Maude turn things around.
