Set in modern day Moscow where the wealthy are have endless supplies of drugs sex violence and corruption Against the grain is Vershinin a tough and unforgiving Special forces Police Major realises they have been framed in a drug sting operation aired on Russian TV The Deputy Head of Department Suvorovtsev must work with Vershinin to assure the culprits are caught

Crime-themed action drama set in a lawless Moscow. Fighting against the violence in his city is Special Forces Police Major Vershinin (Aleksey Kravchenko), who soon realises he and his team have been tricked by the gangs who dominate Moscow. Vershinin must make his partnership to traditionalist Deputy Head Suvorovtsev (Alexey A. Petrukhin) work in order to catch the unruly criminals.
