The first two series of the programme which retraces walks made popular by the legendary fellwalker, artist and guide writer Alfred Wainwright. The walks featured in Series 1 are Blencathra, Haystacks, Scafell Pike and Castle Crag. Also included is the documentary 'Wainwright: The Man Who Loved the Lakes'. The second series features six walks including Helvellyn, Catbells and Helm Crag, the true summit of which Wainwright himself never succeeded in reaching.
