Drama starring Steve Coogan as a journalist sent to cover the launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger only to find himself caught up in the lives of a group of local teens. Campbell Babbit (Coogan) arrives in Concord, New Hampshire - the scene of the proposed launch - in 1986, where he is surprised to find that the old friend he had expected to provide him with an introduction to the town appears to have committed suicide. Babbit decides to investigate and comes into contact with a group of his friend's former high school students that includes Lucy Diamond (Hilary Duff), Jim (Josh Peck) and the pregnant Tess (Olivia Thirlby). Though the kids are clearly troubled, Babbit hopes they can provide him with answers, but will they be the answers he seeks?
