Alan Davies stars as 'executive chef' Roland White in BBC comedy drama WHITES. Set in the fast-moving kitchen of a country house hotel, the series follows Roland's many ups and downs, as he deals with the fact that he's well past his prime. 15 years ago he could have joined the heady ranks of celebrity chefdom, but laziness got the better of him and bitterness continues to nibble away. Roland's long suffering sous chef Bib (Darren Boyd) is left to pick up the slack, but he's got competition in the form of cocky apprentice Skoose (Stephen Wight). The hilarious and cringingly-relatable comedy also stars THE IT CROWD's Katherine Parkinson as restaurant manager Caroline, with Maggie Steed as batty hotel owner Celia.

All six episodes of the BBC sitcom set in the fashionable yet fickle world of the upmarket restaurant. Alan Davies stars as once-feted celebrity chef Roland White, formerly a star of the London restaurant scene and now consigned to the kitchens of the White House restaurant in deepest darkest Hertfordshire. Along with his sous chef and long-suffering best friend Bib (Darren Boyd), restaurant manager Caroline (Katherine Parkinson), dippy waitress Kiki (Isy Suttie), new apprentice Skoose (Stephen White) and hotel owner Celia (Maggie Steed), Roland must overcome his ennui if he is to live out his dream of earning that much-coveted Michelin star.
