Finnish war drama portraying the 1939-40 war between Russia and Finland. In late November 1939, Russia attacked Finland after the Finns refused Stalin's demands to relinquish territory in Karelia. This film tells the story of a platoon of Finnish reservists, including farmer brothers Martti and Paavo Hakala (Taneli and Konsta Makela), who become caught up in the brutal conflict.
