Kenny Jackett came to Wolves with a mission - to secure promotion and restore some pride to Molineux. He did so in convincing fashion rebuilding a team that played the kind of fast paced enjoyable football that fans had been dreaming of. Drafting in Sam Ricketts as Captain... proved to be an inspired move as he bolstered defence alongside the formidable Batth Ebanks-Landell and Golbourne. It was this strength in defence that gave the likes of Dicko Sako and Griffiths the confidence to move forward and find the kind of free-scoring form that ultimately saw the season end with a tally of nearly 90 goals 103 points and the League One trophy.
