Power Yoga, developed in the West, is based on the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga though it is decisively more dynamic and more movement oriented. Like in the traditional Yoga the focus of Power Yoga is on the synchronisation of the figure (Asanas) with the breathing (Pranyama), but the individual figures flow into each other a lot meeker. Next to the stimulation of the blood circulation and the strengthening of the muscles, organs and nerves it is especially the inner balance and the conscious relaxation that is intended.
