Colour footage of David Attenborough's early BBC documentary series. Originally aired in December 1954 in black and white, the programme was recently found to have been filmed in colour, courtesy of a chance discovery in the BBC archives. Attenborough travels to exotic locations in search of wildlife to take back to London Zoo and along the way meets the indigenous locals and learns about their customs. Selected footage from the show is presented here alongside interviews with Attenborough and his cameraman, Charles Lagus, in which they discuss their experiences of making the programme.
