Zaffar is a talented writer (Shiney Ahuja) who liberates an actress (Soha Ali Khan) from the stranglehold of a powerful actor (Rajat Kapoor), and then begins to use her for himself. It also shows how a powerful actor Prem Kumar(Rajat Kapoor), being an excellent man-manager controls a lot of what happens in the film industry of the 50's. The film is a fine take on celebrities and their varied life styles. One can literally draw parallels and correlate the characters in the movie to today's cinema stars. Nikhat (Soha Ali Khan) chooses to burn away rather than fade away from her life, not before delivering her best performance in Zaffar's film Khoya Khoya Chand.
