Years later ambitious criminology student Jason Moss began a bizarre correspondence with the serial killer and what followed was a nightmare journey into a world of violence madness and sexual depravity that brought home the true horror of Gacy's crimes. William Forsythe (The Devil's Rejects The Rock) and Jesse Moss (Final Destination 3) star in this chilling shocker based on the best seller that detailed an 18-year-old's terrifying relationship with the most notorious mass murderer in American history and hailed by Maxim as 'a true-life Silence of the Lambs'.
Narcotics cop Popeye Doyle pits his wits against an international drugs ring attempting to infiltrate New York despite official warnings to back off... All-time classic action thriller (with a remarkable car chase below the elevated railway!) which won five Oscars in 1971.

Based on the true life best seller 'Wiseguy' by Nicholas Pileggi and backed by a dynamic pop/rock oldies soundtrack was named 1990's best film by the New York Los Angeles and National Society of Film Critics. And it earned six Academy Award Nominations. Robert De Niro received wide recognition for his performance as veteran criminal Jimmy The Gent Conway. And as the volatile Tommy DeVito Joe Pesci walked off with the Best Supporting Actor Oscar Academy Award nominee Lorraine Bracco Ray Liotta and Paul Sorvino also turned in electrifying performances. You have to see it to believe it.
Stargate SG-1 is the TV spin-off from the 1994 big-screen movie. In the roles of Colonel Jack O'Neill and Dr Daniel Jackson respectively are Richard Dean Anderson and Michael Shanks. They're joined by Captain Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping) and guilt-stricken former alien baddie Teal'c (Christopher Judge) to form the primary unit SG-1. With a seemingly endless network of Stargates found to exist on planets all across the known universe, their mission is to make first contact with as many friendly races as possible. Episodes on this DVD:"Between Two Fires". If there's one lesson SG-1 has learned, it's to always look a gift horse in the mouth. So when old acquaintances the Tollan offer Earth a brace of advanced weaponry, Jack's the first to raise a questioning hand and wonder if they aren't "Between Two Fires". Some James Bond-style sneaking about soon unravels the mystery. "2001". A lot of behind-the-scenes political machinations occur during "2001". There's another gloriously menacing cameo from Ronny Cox as Senator Kinsey who's desperately trying to dismantle the Stargate programme. All of which makes the A-plot about a new ally somewhat insignificant! But as always with newcomers on the show, the Aschen may not be all they appear to be. "Desperate Measures". Driven to "Desperate Measures", the perpetrator behind the kidnap of Major Carter puts everyone in an ethical quandary. Jack is forced to team up with his old foe Maybourne to find her. As if his cameo isn't insidious and slimy enough, there's another terrifically snake-like appearance by John de Lancie as Colonel Simmons. "Wormhole X-Treme!". Coming soon to network TV is "Wormhole X-Treme!", a science fiction show featuring an intrepid team travelling to other worlds via an intergalactic portal. Sound familiar? It sure does to the SGC, and when Jack and company investigate they discover dear old Willie Garson (Martin Lloyd from Season 4's Point of No Return) has become a whole new form of security problem. This is the show's 100th episode, and was created as a sort of Galaxy Quest parody. Full of crew-member cameos and in-jokes, it's definitely the best fun fans and cast have had amid the more dramatically serious story arc over the year. --Paul Tonks

Former child star Nova Pilbeam - the kidnapping victim in 'The Man Who Knew Too Much' reappears in this light hearted and unpretentious mystery shot on location in Cornwall. Playing the daughter of a local constable Pilbeam shelters a suspected murderer (Derrick DeMarney) and a charming romance develops. The highlight of this rare Hitchcock film is a stunningly intricate camera crane shot of the twitching eyes of the guilt-ridden killer: a jazz drummer in blackface. It took two days to shoot and is one of a continuous move lasting one minute and ten seconds focusing down from 145 feet to 4 inches.
Dead Bolt Dead' takes a twisted look at the dark world of organised crime at its assasins its bosses its drivers and its sharply suited paid thugs. It adds a dose of country and western a couple of spliffs and a Mexican cook with a meat cleaver. It's a dark thriller with a wry sense of humour that focuses on the need to keep talking when staring down the barrel of a gun. Set in 2 locations in and outside London it charts the night after a bold attempt to take out a rival gang fails. Two hostage situations emerge - one with a wounded thug desperate to secure his safety the other with a hired gun and his crime lord target. The claustrophobic confines of the 2 situations sporadically burst into violence - these characters simply too big for the corner they've got themselves into and they will do ANYTHING to get themselves out of it!
