127 Hours 127 hours tells the incredibly inspiring true story of Aron Ralston (James Franco), a thrill seeking adventurist who, on a spontaneous hike to Blue John Canyon in Utah became trapped in a canyon after a boulder became dislodged and crushed his arm against the wall. Now trapped in a canyon with no phone, a minimal amount of water and no one else around, Aron had to come to terms with the fact that he would probably die alone in the canyon. As Aron became delusional from the lack of water and food he started to examine his life and soon started to realise that his only way out would be to amputate his own arm, but could he do it?Academy Award winner Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting) brings this dramatic tale of one man’s desperate fight for survival in a situation he never saw possible to escape from. A Penniless, eighteen year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, he's one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? But when the show breaks for the night, suddenly, he is arrested on suspicion of cheating. After all, how could an uneducated street kid possibly know so much?Determined to get to the bottom of Jamal's story, the jaded Police Inspector spends the night probing Jamal's incredible past, from his riveting tales of the slums where he and his brother Salim survived by their wits to his hair-raising encounters with local gangs to his heartbreak over Latika, the unforgettable girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of Jamal's increasingly layered story reveals where he learned the answers to the show's seemingly impossible quizzes. But one question remains a mystery: what is this young man with no apparent desire for riches really doing on the game show? When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out... The result is the sweeping, stylish, intoxicatingly human experience of Slumdog Milliomaire, the new film from acclaimed director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Shallow Grave, Millions, 28 Days Later, Sunshine). In 1977's hit documentary, Pumping Iron Arnold Schwarzenegger works the crowds, plots strategies for defeating multiple opponents, shares his parents' values with the press and inspires legions of admirers with his resolute optimism about the future. And all of this long before he decided to run for governor of California. Larger than life, though not necessarily larger than his rivals for the Mr Universe and Mr Olympia bodybuilding titles (especially a young Lou Ferrigno, hot on Schwarzenegger's competitive trail but much less interesting), he still comes across, at age 28, as a consummate politician, smart, likable, and crafty about exploiting others' psychological weaknesses. The film still feels redundant (there's only so much beefcake the human eye will tolerate), but the emotional dramas--the unrewarded hard work, the unanswered hopes--are compelling. This 25th Anniversary edition includes a revealing 2003 interview with Schwarzenegger and a reunion of the film's bodybuilders and director. --Tom Keogh

Legendary schlock-master Bruno Mattei (RATS: NIGHTS OF TERROR) really outdid himself with 1980's classic video nasty bile-fest ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH. Banned by the British authorities back in the early days of VHS, thanks to its scenes of innards-chewing, eye-popping and throat-ripping excess, ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH is a strangely moral eco-horror film that warns against the very real terrors of nuclear pollution and chemical fallout as residents in Papua, New Guinea are turned into flesh-hungry undead denizens! Directed with the splatter-enthusiastic aplomb that one would expect from Mattei - one of the underrated auteurs of golden age Italian gore - and penned by the iconic Z-movie maverick Claudio Fragrasso (ZOMBI 3/ TROLL 2), it is tough to deny that ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH is every bit as eerily entertaining as it was almost 40 years ago! Now presented uncut and uncensored, in an aesthetic presentation that will sizzle your senses, ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH is back to chew its way into your living room - courtesy of 88 Films and its ever-impressive Italian Collection!

Diana (Claudia Koll) and Paolo (Paolo Lanza) are happily married despite her much greater sexual appetite: he's content to simply listen to the stories of her various adventures. But when she has an affair that's much too close to home, he throws her out, and she moves into a Venetian flat to embark upon an erotic voyage of discovery, while at the same time trying to win him back. Loosely inspired by the Mozart opera Cos fan tutte (the title is a direct translation), the film tackles a crucial question: why shouldn't women enjoy the same sexual freedom that they've long had to tolerate in their men? Especially when they have such shapely and inviting rears? Once again, Tinto Brass proves his unmatched skill at balancing eroticism and humour in this lively and beautifully photographed comedy, both wittier and more sexually explicit than the average soft-core romp. There are so many astonishing facts about Maria Callas... First she was born not in Greece but in Manhattan and went to school there. Second considering her colossal influence and in contrast to the pumped-up preposterous overpaid pipsqueak divas of today her actual international career was tiny - 18 years at most. Third and in spite of her reputation her cancellation record was the lowest of any great singer of her day. Fourth she rarely looked at the conductor during an opera simply because she could not see him - she was very short-sighted and often appeared (partly as a result) to be in a trance while on stage. Fifth she was betrayed by most of those intimate with her throughout her life and eventually abandoned by many of those who should have known better and who claimed to have loved her. Sixth she died almost penniless - even her grotesquely rich long-time lover Onassis whose marriage to Jackie Kennedy she only discovered by watching the 6 o'clock news had invested her money in half a cargo boat which sank. Paradoxically although she died 30 years ago her records today outsell every other recorded classical artist and single handedly keep EMI Classics afloat. Last hers was not the most beautiful voice of her time as she frequently admitted. Some days it worked; other days it just didn't. In the end those who met her in Paris in the seventies agree that she was one of the loneliest most desperate of women they had ever encountered slowly drugging herself to death. Every day thank God is one day less she told Di Stefano. A summons to tea (for half an hour at most) often lasted until the early hours with the guest or guests pleaded with not to leave. It was pathetic and horrible but it was Callas. It was always Callas and that was the secret and the magic. We witness on stage a broken woman who sings nakedly from her heart about herself and her life who acts with such incredible power and unashamed truth that we stagger back before what we know in our hearts is all of her. No artifice here; no vulgar posturings to which her absurd imitators - and there are many - aspire. Gheorghiu Battle Garrett - they cannot touch her hem. Maria - just a woman who often spoke of Callas in the third person in trouble asking begging sometimes for our understanding and our love. She deserves it because there was no greater singing actress in our time. And she was only 53 when she died.
