Mawenn spent time with the Child Protection Unit in Paris before co-writing, directing and starring in this multi-faceted portrait of the department. She plays a photographer assigned to record the workings of the unit's day shift, following the officers as they deal with each case - many of which are based on actual incidents - and the impact the job has on their personal lives. Bill is an abandoned young cocker spaniel all alone and waiting for a loving new owner to adopt him. Luckily a little boy named Boule appears one day with hair as red as Bill's fur! It's love at first sight and the beginning of a great friendship for Boule and Bill. However Boule's parents aren't quite as thrilled...which is where the trouble begins!
In La Ciotat, the South of France, Antoine (Matthieu Lucci) attends a summer writing workshop in which a few young people have been selected to write a crime thriller with the help of famous novelist Olivia (Marina Foïs). The creative process recalls the town's industrial past, a form of nostalgia to which Antoine feels indifferent. More concerned with the fears of the modern world, the young man soon clashes with the group and Olivia who seems at the same time alarmed and captivated by Antoine's violence.
Caroline and Bertrand are both dissatisfied by the stress the traffic congestion and their hellish work schedules. They leave Paris for Provence where they have acquired l'Apurimac a tourist lodging in a picturesque village. But reality catches up with them quickly because the rustic establishment requires a lot of time and effort. Not only that there is unexpected competition from Rainbow Lodge which caters to gay customers. Nevertheless Caroline decides to transform l'Apurimac into a chic and trendy bed and breakfast. She also gets involved with the organization of the village's medieval festivals which gives her back a lot of the stress she was trying to get away from in the first place. On the other hand Bertrand adapts perfectly to the fresh air and relaxed atmosphere of the countryside.

In short she’s got it all... except the ultimate accessory - a child. Aleksandra and Cyrille decide to adopt. After being fast-tracked they welcome 7-year-old Aleksei into their lives. What they don’t expect is the newest addition to their trendy collection has a mind of his own and more importantly a hectic effect on their perfect lives.
