An examination of the life and career of poet, painter, activist and influential singer-songwriter Patti Smith. Shot largely in black and white, the film is the product of a 12-year collaboration with director Steven Sebring and paints an abstract yet intimate portrait of Smith's life accompanied by readings and excerpts from her poetry and music.

Please note this is a region B Blu-Ray and will require a region B or region free Blu-Ray player in order to play. PATTI SMITH: DREAM OF LIFE gathers about 10 recent years' worth of footage of rock icon Patti Smith in private and in performance. With a plethora of cameo shots of members of rock music royalty the film indicates the wide-ranging influence Smith has had since the mid-1970s. A real celebration of the redemptive power of song and poetry and of being awake to the beauty all around.
