On the face of it RIAT 2008 had all the ingredients to make it a classic the European debut of the USAF F-22A Raptor, the iconic Vulcan bomber XH-558 and 7 international display teams. In spite of this the cameras kept rolling throughout the build up and captured the arrivals, rehearsals, Her Majesty The Queens presentation of new colours to the RAF and the accompanying 90th Anniversary RAF flypast. Private practise displays of the Canadian CF-18 Hornet, the Dutch F-16,the Czech JAS-39C Gripen, the Mi-24V Hind, the Great War display team, The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the 4 ship RAF Typhoon flypast and the Spitfire/Typhoon formation display are all captured here. The star of RIAT was always going to be the F-22As display and it didnt disappoint!
