G3: Live in Tokyo
Thanksgiving Day, 1967. The 2nd and 4th Battalions of the 503rd Airborne Infantry are pushing their way up a steep mountain hill called 875 (the name derives from the height of the mountain, in metres). They have been fighting the enemy every inch of the way and have lost hundreds of men in the past few days. The Viet Cong has hidden itself in the dense jungle terrain and is picking off the American soldiers one by one. American soldiers from the 2nd Battalion and 503rd Airbourne finally close in on the summit where they encounter a barrage of gunfire. The elite forces of the Viet Cong have dug in and hidden themselves in camouflaged bunkers that give them an excellent field of fire. The 2nd Battalion comes under heavy fire but succeeds in circling the summit. The soldiers hunker down only 20 yards from the Viet Cong perimeter, where they pull their rucksacks over their heads to avoid being killed from bullets, mortars and shrapnel. After calling in air strikes, two waves of troops mount a courageous bayonet charge up to the hill, engaging in hand to hand combat all the way.

Super Power British Pacifics - Volume 1:One of the few positives to come out of the gloom of the inter-war years in Britain was the emergence of a new breed of powerful steam locomotives. First built by Sir Nigel Gresley, these 4-6-2 Pacifics represented the very pinnacle of express passenger locomotives across the networks. Gresleys A3 Class produced the impressive Flying Scotsman, now something of a household name. Their sleek, streamlined design and prodigious performances were enough to ensure the survival of their iconic status into the 21st Century.

Over the past forty plus years British film director Tony Palmer has established himself as one of the country's foremost director's of documentary and factual based films. One of Tony Palmers first successes was the film All My Loving which was released in 1968. Some seven years later Tony had the idea encouraged by John Lennon to document the history of popular music. The result was the groundbreaking and award winning series of films made for television under the title All You Need Is Love This is a story of how a remarkable and very different number of theatrical elements were welded together into something also remarkable and very different called the musical. From operetta vaudeville variety burlesque revue and most importantly British music hall came the musical. But it did not come about by accident. It was the deliberate and conscious achievement of lyricist Oscar Hammerstein (who wrote among others Showboat and Oklahoma) and the director Rouben Mamoulian. Against considerable opposition both critical and commercial they created a new art form which was unique and yet familiar.

For a man who quit an established recording career in order to study the fine art of making violins, David Bromberg sure knows how to work a room. A veteran sideman to Dylan, Ringo Starr and Jerry Jeff Walker, as well as a solo performer and bandleader of more than 40 years standing, the bearded and bespectacled Bromberg may have kept a low profile through the so-called MTV era. But he didn't sleep through the more recent recording industry implosion and its attendant rise of the Pod People. .

Hundreds of writers have tried desperately to analyze the writings of Jules Verne, claiming on the one hand that there is an underlying sexual message, on the other that he is guiding us towards so...
After the British and French had declared war on the German Reich on the 3rd September 1939, the Western Front became a ghost front. It was only the start of the Western Campaign on 10th May 1940, that started the battles. The fast advance on Moscow in 1941, forced the German soldiers to bring tremendous march achievements. On dirt roads, often through boggy ground, the German troops pushed eastwards. The Wehrmacht soldiers had to cope with an enormous workload. According to the Versailles Treaty, Germany was only allowed to have an army of 100 000 men. This army, from 1919 until 1921, was referred to as the “Provisional Reichswehr”.
