Four classic Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy comedies and eleven shorts in both black-and-white and colourised versions. In 'Way Out West' (1937), Stan (Laurel) and Ollie (Hardy) find themselves in another fine mess when they bungle the delivery of a goldmine deed to Mary Roberts (Rosina Lawrence). Duped by the saloon-owner into giving the deed away, the comedy duo set about restoring it to its rightful owner. In 'The Bohemian Girl' (1936), the pair star as members of a gypsy band who arrive at the estate of Count Arnheim (William P. Carleton). When Ollie's wife has an affair behind his back, her lover is caught and flogged by Arnheim's guards. She kidnaps the Count's daughter, Arline (Darla Hood), as an act of revenge, only to run away with her paramour leaving Stan and Ollie holding the baby... literally. 12 years later the gypsies are back in the area and Arline (Jacqueline Wells), unaware of her true parentage, ventures into the Count's castle... 'Saps at Sea' (1940), Laurel and Hardy's last film for Hal Roach, involves a goat, a boat and an escaped murderer. In the middle of it all is Ollie, struggling to recover from the stress brought on by his job as a tester in a horn factory. In 'Sons of the Desert' (1933), in order for Stan and Ollie to travel to a fraternity convention in Chicago, which their wives have no interest in attending, Ollie feigns a disease which can only be cured by a long sea voyage. However, the ship on which they are supposed to be travelling to Honolulu sinks at sea - so while Stan and Ollie are living it up in Chicago, their spouses think they are dead! The collection also includes the shorts 'One Good Turn' (1931), 'Thicker Than Water' (1935), 'On the Loose' (1931), 'That's My Wife' (1929), 'Along Came Auntie (1926), 'You're Darn Tootin' (1928), 'Below Zero' (1930), 'Tiembla Y Titubea (1930), 'We Faw Down' (1928), 'Their Purple Moment' (1928) and 'On the Wrong Trek' (1936).
