Adapted from his autobiography, the film recounts the story of Hiroito, The King of Boca do Lixo (a region in downtown So Paulo of the fifties where various nightclubs, strip joints, prostitution, bars, and drugs can be found). Hiroito was a well born bohemian and at the age of 21 was accused of the murder of his father, who was violently stabbed over 40 times with a razor. Hiroito was not charged, however two months after the death of his father, Hiroito bought two guns and moved to Boca do Lixo and became one of the most dangerous criminals of the region.

Violent and gritty Brazilian drama charting the rise to power of a notorious gangland boss. At the age of 21, Hiroito (Daniel de Oliveira), a young man from a prosperous family, is accused of the murder of his father. With no evidence against him, he soon finds himself drawn to the red light district of 1950s Sao Paulo known as Boca do Lixo, where he quickly rises through the criminal underworld by dealing in drugs and running prostitution rings. Although his reputation for violence initially earns him the respect of his adversaries, it's not long before his life is spiralling out of control as he fights tooth and nail to hold on to his empire.
