Tu, an ambitious young man from Auckland, dreams of being a professional Hip Hop dancer. When Tu s father issues an ultimatum, Tu decides that dance is his way out. Things become complicated when he falls for Sasha, the girlfriend of K-Crew's malicious leader, Kane. Tu is devastated when he learns that the whole audition process has been a scam to steal the best moves from dancers across Auckland. In a final stance, Tu will unite his old crew and new friends, to battle their way into nationals and face K-Crew in the finals.

Tia Maipi stars in this dance drama directed by Tammy Davis. When dancer Tu (Maipi) gets an opportunity to audition for K-Crew, one of the best hip-hop groups in the country, a string of difficult decisions begins as he must betray his home crew and best friend Benjy (Stan Walker) to get there. Tu's life throws up even more complications when he meets the leader of K-Crew, Kane (Jordan Cruickshank), and his girlfriend Sasha (Kherington Payne), for whom he develops feelings. Will Tu figure out which is more important - who he wants to be or who he really is - before it's too late?
