Meet Buraki the vicious 200-meter long Imoogi serpent from ancient Korea. His army includes giant lizards with missile launchers flying dragons soldiers bred for evil and mega-intelligent dinosaurs. Together they will destroy Los Angeles and possibly the world unless reincarnated warriors Ethan and Sarah can outrun them and resurrect the Good Imoogi Buraki's ancient nemesis. Dragon Wars reveals every last detail of Earth's greatest battle... a war you'll only believe when you see it for yourself.
"Dragon Wars" - a failed Korean hero of 500 years ago is reborn as a reporter in Los Angeles in the twenty-first century. The woman he failed to save is back as a... in a gym(?), a cafe(?). I don"t think it is clear what she does. And the two dragons - Good and Bad - that were vying over back in days are returning for another shot. Our formerly star-crossed and now reincarnated lovers are run-ragged as they flee the Bad across the city and... Sounds like fun, doesn"t it? Well. The script, acting and direction of "Dragon Wars" are all lacklustre; its special effects second tier - its too long battle sequences look worse than the in game graphics of most recent computer games; and its plot, replete with corny flashbacks and voice-over narration absurd and messy. Some might hail it as a cult classic, so bad it is good. The problem is that "Dragon Wars" doesn"t even have the camp or schlock horror with a heart appeal of Ed Wood"s worse fair or "Cannibal Holocaust": The low budget has not inspired the makers of the film to innovate, but rather recycle tired clichés and mindless battle sequences a little worse and more worn than they were last time you saw them. Is there anything positive to say about this movie? Is it sooo bad it is good? I don"t think so, but others, those who enjoyed "Transformers" and "300", might. If you dug those movies why not give this a try too.

Mythical serpents lay waste to Los Angeles in Korean director Shim Hyung-Rae's modern day monster tale. Looking through an antiques shop one day, Ethan Kendrick (Jason Behr) is struck by a force originating from an old chest in the shop. The owner, recognising the importance of what has happened, tells Ethan a story about mythical serpent creatures called Buraki, who existed millennia ago with an army of ork-like creatures in tow, and were capable of transforming themselves into dragons. Ethan, it transpires, is the modern-day reincarnation of the ancient warrior Haram who vanquished the Buraki in olden times while trying to protect Narin, the woman he loved, and whose spirit was trapped in the chest. Now freed, Ethan has to re-unite with his former love, now known as Sarah Daniels (Amanda Brooks), as together they are the only ones who can stop the Buraki from laying waste to Los Angeles.
Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play. Based on the Korean legend, unknown creatures will return and devastate the planet. Reporter Ethan Kendrick is called in to investigate the matter, and he arrives at the conclusion that a girl, stricken with a mysterious illness, named Sarah is suppose to help him. The Imoogi makes its way to Los Angeles, wreaking havoc and destruction. With the entire city under arms, will Ethan and Sarah make it in time to save the people of Los Angeles?
